Have you noticed how clutter keeps you trapped in the past? You can’t take advantage of the opportunities and adventures of today because you are still dealing with the leftovers of yesterday. You feel tremendous pressure to deal with the leftovers first before going on to anything new and fresh. After all, you certainly don’t want to be wasteful! However, continually keeping stuff you don’t want, need, or use only serves to prevent you from moving your life forward.
How long do you really want to live that way? How long do you want to be a slave to the past?
For the next 6 weeks? The next 6 months? The next 6 years?
Our days are full of decisions. In fact, a Pinterest post proclaims this:
You get to be the one to decide!
So how about deciding this:
You have the freedom to be awesome! The great news is that there are lots of unique and unusual ways to be awesome. So your awesome may look different from my awesome. And that is OK!
What do you truly want to be?
What steps do you need to take?
What roadblocks do you need to remove?
I love this perspective:
Clutter does not help you to be awesome. Clutter demands your time and steals your energy. Clutter gets in the way. Clutter distracts you from being awesome.
When you discover the less cluttered side of life, you are on your way to awesome!
Let’s get started making decisions. Let’s start donating and sharing excess items. Let’s clear off the counters and clean up the floors. Let’s recycle the newspapers and magazines. Let’s toss the expired coupons and medicines. Let’s file the papers or pitch the papers. If anyone wonders what in the world you are doing, just tell them you are busy being awesome!
I want to say to every client:
